Photographer's Note
To those of you that are familiar with my gallery, you may recall a picture 'West Hoe Pier' and 'Look II'.
Here I am on the Hoe looking down towards West Hoe, and you can see the tiny harbour that is West Hoe.
Look II is now situated on the wall of the pier that is beyond the opening into the harbour.
The buildings that you see are mainly Victorian, some are private houses, and others offer accommodation.
The land in the background is the edge of the county of Cornwall.Only the River Tamar separates Devon from Cornwall at this point.
Open in a new tab to view the larger version.
One more shot in the w/s.
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
You found a nice and high viewpoint to overlook the water and the piers as well as the waterfront with its stately buildings. The green areas surround the view nicely.

Hi Jean
Seems people live well here, everything so well cared for and I like that picturesque coastal town. The greyish flat lighting - there's nothing much you can do, works best to your advantage
Well done.
Best regards

Hi Jean
A good photo of the Plymouth harbour. Love the cute tiny port there too. My sole experience of Plymouth was changing trains on the way from Exeter to Penzance so good to see some of what we missed.
cheers

Hello Jean, I see that there are wide stairs going up and providing this beautiful view. In the harbour, there are no boats. Lovely white buildings.

Bonjour, cher Jean,
La ville s'ιtale joliment sous nos yeux depuis les hauteurs.
Les couleurs s'amusent ΰ jeter des taches ici ou lΰ.
L'ιdifice prend toute sa place majestueuse en bordure de cτte.
Amitiιs.

Hello Jean,
The small port impresses me. It looks like a fortress, so the boats should be well protected during storms. There are some very fine buildings here too, and it's a generally nice view. In mid-October there were not many people sitting at the outdoor cafι. It's an interesting and very clear and sharp photo.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
Your title immediately made me think of Westward Ho, but that is on the north coast of Devon and has nothing to do with what you are showing, here.
The grey day is typical of the weather that we have been suffering for the most of October so, well done you, for venturing out with your camera!
This is a neat, sharp photograph, clearly revealing the small, well-protected harbour, resembling a tiny fortress!
You have included some good guide lines, in the f/g and in the m/g, ensuring that viewers will explore all with which you have presented them.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Jean,
Indeed a surprisingly small port that is not used much anymore, I think.
If they close the harbour, they can turn it into a beautiful swimming pool. 😉
The beautiful Victorian houses are characteristic of many English coastal towns.
Well done
Have a nice day, groet Rob .

Hello Jean,
Beautiful panorama taken from a well elevated spot.
I'm surprised by that almost completely enclosed small harbour. It looks impressive!
Many beautiful buildings line the main avenue.
In the WS we see a lonely figure in the sea. A diver or a fisherman?
Best regards, Paul

Hi Jean,
A good high viewpoint to the seaside road and quite classy looking buildings further back. That simple cafe building makes strong contrast with other buildings. To me that looks like made of Lego bricks!

Hi Jean.
Very beautiful panoramic view of a part of the city and port, very curious that kind of small, almost walled port, beautiful houses on the promontory that faces the sea, very pleasant all so green.
A nice photo, with beautiful natural colors, good lighting and sharpness.
Well done. I love.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.
