REASON FOR REPOST
As some of you may have noticed, I got a new camera this year for my birthday. It came with a new version of the processing software. The Canon RAW files have slightly different format now, instead of CR2 they are called CR3. To be honest I have never used the RAW files before, I always thought that they are too big, and the difference is not worth it. I changed my mind when I started to play with CR3 files. One of the options which attracted my attention was the possibility to increase the brightness of the shadowed areas and decrease the brightness of the highlighted areas. This is something which sort of corresponds to HDR effect but in a very natural way. I have enjoyed this feature very much but yesterday I noticed something strange about it. As you may have noticed some of my photos had recently something off with the colors. It was a strange effect, because normally if the colors are messed up, then the all colors are messed up and there is no white present at all, but in this photo from Berwick, for example, most colors were ok and there were also a lot of good white areas. So why only selected areas of white had added the reddish hue to them? It was unfortunately this new feature which I cherished so much. It appears you must apply it with moderation. If you look at the original photo its clouds are having strangely reddish clouds. In fact, all highlights had subtle red hue. The reason I turned on this effect stronger here was because some of the houses were too bright. Now I decided that it is worth to sacrifice details of the white houses but keep the colors more natural. Don’t worry I am not going to re-post all my photos now (maybe two more) but this was the first which has bothered me even if the effect was rather minor.
ORIGINAL PHOTO NOTE
As I mentioned in my previous photo from this lovely town, Berwick-upon-Tweed is the northernmost town in England. It is situated along the east coast. In fact just behind the tower of the 18th century town hall you can spot a slice of the North Sea stretching along the horizon. It was a market day, hence the streets further in the distance were crowded with stands offering variety of products. That is also why the cars were filling this street all the time, so I gave up on trying to photograph it without the cars. I am quite surprised that there are not many photos from Berwick on TrekEarth, and if there are then usually they are not taken in the town itself but in the areas around it. Berwick deserves a dedicated visit. I went there just for a day trip, even though it was a bit more than 2 hours drive one way for me. It was one of the best trips I made in England this year.

I did not see much of a differences from your original post, Mariusz.
I find this picture just has more emphsis on red and green - and fairly well managed.
As wrote before, I assume you took this picture from the old bridge crossing this street.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
It is a pity that we can no longer examine the two side by side just to completely understand how good the changes are. It's difficult to hold colours in memory.
I do not see massive changes but brighter.
A fine shot, which
i commented upon previously.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz,
I hadn't really noticed it the first time, but now that you mention it and after comparing the two photos I see what you mean. This lovely view of this town and the busy street just got even better.

Mariusz, the light is better in this version i think. It was a market day in the town, the streets and parkings were busy. The sumptuous tower stands out from the more recent buildings around it. It comprises a clock and a Greek style portico at its base. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Czesc Mariusz
Jesli teraz wracam do starych zdjec, wiem ze moge wrocic do negatywu, a oprogramowanie i umiejetnosci zapewne mam wieksze niz kilkanascie lat temu ;)
Ciekawa prezentacja , pozdrawiam
Piotr

Hello Mariusz,
I downloaded both pictures to be able to compare them.
That's why I will never be a photographer, I guess. I do see some minor differences and your re-post is the best of both photos. But in my view the differences are insignificant.
Is it my computer screen? Is it my eyesight? I don't know.
I liked your first picture of the townhall of Berwick-upon-Tweed and of course also this one gets my smiley.
Best regards, Paul
