Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
My archive has been a great resource at a time when the weather and the pandemic have been totally against photographic outings.
I'm sure many of you will recognise this as Salford Quays.
My angle uses the strengthening lines for the bridge as a strong feature across the foreground. Between the parallel lines is the modern shape of the War Museum, whilst in the background is Salford Millennium Bridge.
I just loved how the two youngsters were so excited and neatly placed in the foreground triangle.
Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hi Bev
I like this. Lots of muted colours, and a threatening sky. Then we have those great splashes of colour from the children and people sitting on the bench.

Hello Bev,
Your note describes well why you like this photo, and I think the wires and the small children will appeal to many of us. Wires usually disturb a photo, but here they are so strong and distinct that they become essential parts of the composition with their diagonal lines. Well placed children benefit all photos. The museum is an impressive building but in this case it's just something worth watching in the background.
Kind regards,
Gert

fantastic how those cords-cables animate the Salford area on the scene, Beverley.
An exceptional POV, a well premeditated take I suppose, and the outcome is very meticulous.
Cheers and a nice sunday afternoon,
Ike

Hi Bev,
The presenc eof the children is animating the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the War Museum and of the bridge in the background. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colours. Have a nice day.

Hello Beverley, an excellent composition; I think that it is the cables that make it work as such.
The two children perfectly placed, and colourful too.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hi Bev
Very original and highly creative take on this popular location. The strong lines add interest and make a dynamic graphic composition.
The two kids with their lime/purple/lilac (I think...) outfits are the icing on the cake.
Have a great week.

Hello Beverley,
Despite the overcast sky and the dark trees you managed to present us a very clear picture.
On the thumbnail, I thought we were looking through different glass panels.
However, these are cables that do not disturb but have an extra appeal in the composition.
The clothes of the different people add a little more colour to the image. It are mainly the children on the left who brighten up the photo.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Beverley,
Excellent use of the diagonal cables of the bridge in front of the modern architecture of the museum. Despite the cloudy day, the sky adds a nice background as well and the two young children help to bring some extra colour to the picture.

Hello Bev,
This is a great composition. I like the way the the diagonal lines created by the bridge cables cut across the frame, and the children being in the lower left corner is perfect. The architectural style of the museum is interesting, too.

Dear Beverley,
What an excellent photograph! The vertical 'lines' create an interesting fg. against the industrial bg. Of course this greyish neighbourhood would be boring, without the tiny girls in their vivid clothes.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hi Bev,
That wave shaped museum is ultra modern. And you gave the view your own touch with those bridge cables. Little children on the corner are perfectly placed.

Hi Bev,
this is a fantastic picture from the familiar spot. You have perfectly well managed the challenging weather with the cloud pattern adding nice feature to the sky. The lines of the bridge make an original framing for the famous silhouette of the museum. The children in colorful clothes add a heartwarming touch.
Very well seen and captured,
This place certainly deserves to be revisited. I must keep it in mind.
