Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

Much better if seen in the large format, by opening in a new tab.

I was going to post these two photographs when I was previously posting photographs of Durham Cathedral but thought you may be tired of seeing images from the same place.

Anyway, here are two more photographs taken in the cathedral which this time, reveal how the sun creates its own art work.

I always look for shadow patterns on a sunny day and because Durham Cathedral has cloisters, the Gothic style windows in the cloisters, created these extended shadows across the corridor. Sadly, there were no other people present for human interest but, I'm not sure they would have improved on the patterned effect.

My second shadow patterns, in the w/s, reveal the source of these main post shadows.

I wish you a safe and happy day, Bev :-)
