Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
Earlier this year, we bought a perspex, bird feeder which attaches to the window. It took a few weeks before the birds completely trusted it but now, there are birds flitting in and out all day.
It has been particularly popular this last week because the weather has been incredibly wet and the birds can feed, whilst underneath the plastic roof.
It is very difficult to get photographs of the birds because you have to get to the side of feeder, otherwise the birds just look blurred through the plastic background.
This photograph was taken through the window, at an angle and shows a robin, just about to leave the feeder.
I will post another one as a workshop, with the robin feeding.
I hope you enjoy the shot. I waited patiently to capture it, but was thrilled to see it so close, Bev :-)

Good evening Beverley,
Robin is one beautiful tiny bird with innocent "face expression".
Lovely capture, beautiful green surrounding contrast well with the golden plumage.
Have a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Bev,
At first I thought this had lost some sharpness from being taken through the window, but looking carefully and especially on an enlarged version I can se that it's amazingly sharp. Neither is there any loss of colour. Both photos are very good, and it's nice to see it holding the seed in the WS, but I agree with your choice of main upload. We see so much more of its beautiful red chest and forehead in this photo.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Bev,
Two absolutely delightful photographs of this handsome robin at your "window feeder". We have one of these feeders, also of Perspex but just of a slightly different shape, and I'm amazed that you have managed such wonderfully clear and sharp photographs here. Of course, the parts of the bird seen through the Perspex are not sharp but those parts taken just (diagonally!) through the window are perfect!
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. What a dreadful trouble I seem to be having on TE today - pages taking ages to load and then, if they take too long (sometimes up to five minutes or so), an error message pops up and I have to start all over again. It must be TE because other sites are running fine - maybe it's just the final TE death rattle? I hope not - but I really wish that someone would do something about poor old TE - and what about beta TE too? Grrrrr.

Hello Beverley,
What a wonderful close-up photo of this cute little robin! Superb sharpness of its dark grey and red/orange feathers. Excellent blurry backdrop as well!

Hello Beverley, two beautiful pictures, nothing to choose between them, they are both equally as good.
The shallow depth of field works so well, with the blurred green background contrasting with the colours of the robin.
Taken through the window, you have even captured the catch light in its eye.
I am putting this into my favourites, thank you.
Lovely work.
Best wishes, Jean.

bev
nice flagrant of this very usual bird in the island.I liked the use of elements here. my mother throws rest of food above a roof and this attract sparrows and some native birds, our cats sometimes kill some of them, I guess it is a case of recycle of nature...
take care

Hello Bev, What a great idea to have the feeder in the window. I have often various birds near my window but difficult to take pictures. Marvellous view of this cute birdie.

Hello Bev,
It's worth the patient I must say. What a lovely shot of my all time favourite bird. Never get tired watching them. It's very rare these days to see them in my garden lately.
Boy! how fast these baby robin has grown up - like father like son, dressed like father too.
I can't stop looking at his 'smouldering-gaze' in his eye. So hypnotizing and desirable.
I like this shot than the WS - the bird is more interested to the seeds than me. Both shots are very good in colours and sharpness. Well done.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful bird.
Loong
p/s: About WS....thank you. I got it now.
Thanks

Dear Beverley,
Even it was taken from your home, its a decent nature shot: well-composed and the Robin is well isolated from the nice and creamy green bg. Very well-done!
I wish you a nice evening!
Gy.
