Photographer's Note
A Difficult Decision.
No extensive information this time.
In this amazing period with a global lock down due to a venomous virus, humor seems to me to be one of the necessary medicines.
The difficult decision faced by this seagull on St Johns Street in Liverpool may be a metaphor for the difficult situation of those who have to make the decisions during this difficult period.

Dag Rob,
Bedankt.
Groeten uit Vlaanderen,
John.

Hello Rob,
I recognize myself in the poor seagull's predicament. I had to go across half of Sφdermalm today to pick up a package, and of course our streets are as crowded as ever. It stupefies and annoys me that hardly anyone is anxious to keep a healthy distance, leaving it entirely to me to keep a steady watch all around me all the time, so I can step into the street or go close to the wall to avoid having people breathe into my face. Go right, go left or go straight on? Poor me, and poor seagull! ;-)
Very amusing photos, well spotted and well thought.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Rob,
Indeed a difficult decision... something we face daily, apparently birds also have this problem...
The WS#1 shows the street action where found this sea-gull, interesting wider view of main street action to the top of the tower and above.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hi Rob,
You have capture d well the concentraytion of the bird. The point of view is showing the seagull observing the area, the arrow meaning its is place. The light has a good effect on the colours. Have a nice day.

Dear Rob,
Its a simple, yet spectacular shot, which doesn't need more explanation than that you provided.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Rob, three good shots, with an indecisive gull!
I like picture 2, with the busy street full of people, whilst the gull continues to stand on the sign looking all around.
You are quite right, we need some comedy in these strange times to lift our mood.
Keep safe, kind regards, Jean.

Hallo Rob,

Hallo Rob, i prefer the workshop 1 as we can see what is around the bird and the road sign. At this time, there was no social distance and no virus so the people walked freely in the street. The seagull uses the road sign as a perch to watch the surroundings. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Rob,
Three absolutely splendid photographs which once again reinforce my belief that:
a) you have a sense of humour - and
b) you always keep your eyes open and not only look - but also see and note things that others don't.
This herring gull might look indecisive but if you'd been walking along not with your camera but eating fish and chips, it could well have swept down and stolen your food from you - these guys are really determined hunters and thieves!
Brilliant!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Rob
A tricky choice - you got the eye in the first but the second seems to be looking up as per the sign whilst the third is much sharper.
A good trio.
cheers

Hi Rob,
Interesting idea for an original photo for this strange period with Covid 19 pandemic. Well presented this seagull and these WS, We could present the photo with a collage with these 3 photos for an another presentation of this scene, tfs.

hello Rob, Amusing photos. In fact, when I see such signs, I never know how to interpret it - should I go up? But how? well seen. We need some humour.
Stay safe

Hello Rob,
You had no idea that this virus was about to happen and yet you were alert to the possibility that this seagull, moving into different stances, was worthy of recording to tell a story!
It acts as a very good metaphor for the effects of the Corona virus!
But, also, it is a fine series of photographs, recording the alert response of gulls to a possible food source!!
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Fortunately, you didn't have to stand next to this seagull, but you took a photo from a distance :), for me a very funny photo

Hallo Rob,
Mooi dat deze meeuw voor jou haar verschillende poses wilde uittesten.
In ieder geval wist deze vogel goed dat er niet naar beneden hoefde gezocht te worden :)
Grappig om ook dergelijke foto's op deze site te vinden.
Vele groeten, Paul
