Hello Rob, you were at Manchester Cathedral at just the right time.
So many opportunities for colourful and interesting pictures. I am a great fan of ad lib pictures at weddings, human behaviour is fascinating.
Looking at the various guests, I wonder what they are all thinking!
The main post is an excellent montage.

Hallo Rob,
Het lijkt wel een Royal Wedding met al die fleurig uitgedoste dames. Er zit van alles tussen, van net iets te ordi via soepjurk tot tuttig pastel ΰ la de koningin. Maar de vrouw in kanariegeel wilde natuurlijk het meest opvallen, vast de moeder van de bruid.

Hello Rob,

Am I right in thinking that you had no connection at all with the people who were getting married in your pictures? If so, I salute you for your bravery and your skill in taking so many remarkably perfect photographs of such a motley collection of individuals in an incredible variety of attire.

Six individual images make up your first (main) image - I believe that is a "hexaptych" - and I think that just has to be my favourite one of them all, especially as we see such a wonderful display of different dresses worn by the ladies. Men are always expected to dress boringly.

"Where is the groom" has a delightful air of expectancy to it - and that is very well captured. And, of course, your other workshop image of the entire cast of this remarkable show is brilliant - we could sit looking at every individual in it for hours!

P.S. Yes, TE is suffering yet again and I doubt if anybody is even thinking about lifting a finger to save this sinking ship.

I am glad to read that you plan comeback:). Amusing photos for the beginning. Funny collage of six photos. I see that women rather do not follow a diet. The Workshop picture are also nice.

How good to see you posting photographs, again.
I had begun to think that you had left TE.
Yes, there are a lot of faults with the site, some very annoying, but I have not found a site that I enjoy more than this! If the faults could be rectified, it would definitely be worth the effort as I feel people would return to post more frequently!

This is quite a collection of, shall I say, almost fashion shots from Manchester!
It was a risky time of year to plump for such flimsy garments but for, you, recording this wedding, it provided a quite extensive range of styles and colours.

I like the side view of the guests, an angle we never see in official photographs and it made a great composition.
And the groom - was he reluctant to be photographed!
You wouldn't imagine so, on tis special day!!

An interesting fashion show is actually a great opportunity to see how differently dressed people are, but everyone is elegant and festive, a very good series of photos

Good pics combo giving such flavour and get funny if not threatening looks with that ''extra'' details on which you have capitalised well. Pretty catchy in blood red eh? and all with good body lingo that says a lot, while some of them are perhaps suitable candidates for slimming advert. Without doubt they add life to the event with many a potential story by the viewers as they create visual feast to the eyes.
I think you satisfy your objective- the kind of paparazzi adventure shot... he he!

Wonderfull picturepack giving us a quite popular message which dominates today almost all parts of oour World. No matter if Moslems, Christians or those with Jewish heritage !

yes, the dress are usually shown in these special cerimonies and not so frequently in the daily life. it is like in such events the women were dressed like women. of course feminist would say I am an idiot, but I have not against pants of dresses..
