Hello Claude,
It's not perfectly sharp but it's a well captured photo of the man looking rather gloomy by his empty glass. Or maybe he feels his life is empty or nearing its end. What do I know? Maybe he was just tired. Or maybe he thought the pub looked gloomy.

Grainy shot which technically speaking leaves quite a bit to be desired for, but it more than makes up for that in ambience and atmosphere. A shot of character.
Do you know the amazing series of Cardiff nightlife pictures by the Polish photographer Maciej Dakowicz? World class photography, that is. And he even shared some of those shots on Trekearth. I'll include a link below:

Salut Claude. Un post qui me fait surement plaisir,je suis un barman et c'est jolie comparer les soirees avec celle de ce pub anglais. La personne que tu montre est le parfait acteur pour suligner les derniers minuts avant de fermer le cafe'. Quelle expression du visage,vraiment super! 2 jolis WS aussi,pas des problemes pour la qualite' pas parfaite,mais il etait impossible faire du mieux dans cette lumiere.Belle semaine et merci,Luciano

and it actually put a smile on my face because of that man's face. He looks to be completely disinterested or bored, or maybe he's trying to sleep standing up :) fun shot
