May 3rd, 2018: We got more sun today... Falkirk is also the Home of the Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world. These are 30-metre-high horse-head sculptures featuring kelpies, standing next to a new extension to the Forth and Clyde Canal, and near River Carron, in The Helix, a new parkland project built to connect 16 communities in the Falkirk Council area.
A horse is a horse, of course of course,
and no one can talk to a horse of course,
that is of course, unless the horse,

it doesn't matter how many times I see these large horse heads, they're so attractive and eye catching each time. Especially when you can capture some light striking them as well, just as you have done. the large formidable clouds make a great impact too. nice one. cheers

Grappig dat Mr.Ed zolang in onze herinnering blijft.
Overigens wel een imponerend beeld met al die glimmende stroken.

Hello Viviane, a very good point of view where the scale of these fantastic horses, sorry Kelpies, is very clear.
The sharp quality is excellent.
The cloudy sky is the perfect background to the silver coloured metalwork.

Hallo Viviane,
Deze paardenkoppen zijn inderdaad enorm grote kunstwerken. Dat merken we in vergelijking met de bomen en de persoon die de trappen op gaat.
Je presenteert ze vanuit een goed hoek.
De zwaar bewolkte lucht is niet zo aangenaam wanneer men op reis is maar hier vormt ze een geweldige achtergrond.

I've seen these horses in other photos, and I always enjoy seeing them again. The sheer size is impressive, and I also like the different poses. They look like they could really come to life! This is a lovely capture and presentation.

An incredible duo of giant horse head sculptures that look like chess pieces. They frame the bg electricity transmission tower well. The person at right adds scale. Tfs!
