Hi Jean!

Indeed, great view at the snowy peaks of the mountains. Would be nice to have a small wooden house at the lake and enjoy such views on regular basis. Very good clarity and POV.

Hello Jean,

A delightful photograph which gives us the beauty of Derwentwater, the majesty of the hills and a couple who are already enjoying the scene. The jetty is a superb vehicle for guiding into the scene, especially with that fine reflection.

I am surprised that there is still so much snow on the hilltops, so late in the year.

Golly gosh, how did I manage to miss this one?

This is spectacular view and I think I've been to this place too - not a long walk at all from Keswick. And, funnily enough, the first thing I think here is that you have captured a far better view than either of those photographers way out at the end of the jetty will ever hope to achieve - after all, you have them and the jetty to provide a wonderfully interesting and colourful foreground and they're going to have, well, nothing in the way of foreground interest!

Still, let's not bother about their plight: as I say, they provide a wonderful foreground and they also very nicely balance the snow capped hills on the right, so adding to a fine composition. The reflections in the water are beautiful, the light lovely and soft, your colours true yet vibrant, and the details and sharpness exquisite.

Hello Jean,

The snow capped mountains at right make a superb backdrop and the fg reflections in the water are lovely. The man on the pier provides a good focal point. Excellent sharpness throughout with superb colour and saturation. Good graphic elements and excellent framing and composition. Tfs.

Excellently composed landscape. I suspect many would have satisfied themselves with just the lake and the mountains. To include the jetty in the foreground gives depth and added interest. And then there's the two figures, which again add a focal point for our eyes. The overall result is a photograph rather than a snap!
