Hello Agnes,
A clever composition that owes its success to some excellent graphism. Very good control over depth of field.

Forget the rule of thirds. Rules are made to be broken and it is the overall composition of an image that counts and you've scored highly here. You've placed the pebble just to the left of your composition and then your eyes follow the sand to the tide line to the cliffs in the background. Everything works well.
There is a criticism, which is a technical one and I mean it in no way to detract from your fine image but one which could improve your photography in future.
The cliffs are slightly out of focus. This is caused by your f3 aperture and fairly high shutter speed. What I would have done in this situation is to have had the camera tripod mounted and use aperture priority of at least f8. You could then focus on the top tip of the pebble. This could possibly be your hyperfocal point. The point at which, given the aperture and point of focus, would give the image sharp focus from slightly in front of the pebble to the cliffs in the background.
As I said this is a technical criticism. Personally I would love to have come across this scene and captured it as well as you.

Hello Agnes,
actually I rather enjoy the composition with the line leading ever so nicely from the rock in the FG into the frame,,the texture of the sand is very well illustrated.
Warm regards Les.

Hello Agnes,
An interesting shot where there is nothing more to play with than the sand, the sea and the sky ... and, of course, a pebble! It is a really well composed shot and a good decision for, in such relatively poor light a small aperture, to focus the b/g, would have created other problems.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Agnes
a title that sums up this image perfectly. I really like the motive and your creativity here, and as for the rule of thirds, well lets say it pays dividends to think outside the box sometimes. This works beautifully. Inspiring imagery!

Hello Agnes,
The layers in the picture and the
stone on the forground creates a
lots of depth. The vertical position
emphasize the depth extra. The
composition and the light management
are great.
Friendly regards,

Zdravo Agnes. Who cares about rules when you have the white stone nestled in brown sand to make you forget them. The place looks cold and uninviting. Good for a white stone but not for a Mediterranean person. Pozdrav. Klaudio.

Hello Agnes,
This is really a beautiful beach and you maintained the rule of third perfectly. Here you framed a stone with the sea is really unique idea. It is simple but your presentation is great, good idea.

Hi Agnes
Sometimes, the rules should be broken! You've well focus on the lonely white stone on the brown beach, the FG being a little out of focus. Taken in a dull day, a feeling of loneliness.
Cheers

Hi Agnes,
My first impression was right. I once walked here when I stayed in Ramsgate.
Excellent composition with the white stone in the dark sand in front, before the famous white cliffs.

Hello Agnes,
A challenging composition you are proposing to us with this wide empty beach, but the white stone. It is giving the needed element to get an anchor of the look when reading the picture.
I would have preferred a full depth of field to have the cliffs sharp in background. But looking to your camera with less possibility in the setting, perhaps it was not possible.
Yves.
