Photographer's Note

Taken about ten days ago during my little trip to the Trossachs, not far from the town of Aberfoyle on the way to the village of Kinlochard.

In the foreground is Loch Ard, beautifully smooth on a windless day, and in the background is Ben Lomond, some seven or eight miles distant. Ben Lomond is the most southerly "Munro" (a mountain whose peak is more than 3,00 feet above sea level) in Scotland, lying just to the east of Loch Lomond.

You can see from where I took this picture if you look at Map:view but you can also see the place if you look at this map and drag the little yellow man down to the red cross and pan around. You can also follow the road alongside Loch Ard if you wish.
