Photographer's Note

The River Cuckmere in East Sussex slowly meanders its way to the sea between the coastal towns of Seaford and Eastbourne, on the south coast of England. A picturesque area containing several oxbow lakes and a large flood plain that has been dry in recent months but here benefiting from a long spell of overnight rain. The river is popular with tourists and drains into the sea between the chalk cliffs of Seaford Head in the west and the Seven Sisters to the east.
