Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a downward view of the cliff lift at Saltburn, which looks very steep from this angle!

The lift was opened on 28th June 1884 and is the oldest remaining waterbalance cliff lift in Britain. It has a height of 120 ft, and the length of the track is 207 ft. It is remarkable for having stained glass windows! It runs from the town's cliff top to Saltburn pier.

Many thanks for stopping by, Bev :-)
