Photographer's Note

The British have many traditions built upon years and years of life styles- Village Cricket, Theatre and Gran Nationals are but a few. This year I experienced my first ever music festival. The Fairport Convention Festival which took place in my little village of approx 950 people. An agreed general poll for most of the year - except for the few days around this wonderful festival- when suddenly within a period of less than 12 hours it can swell to 28 thousand people as they invade this wonderful little Oxfordshire rural village - and what fun they are. They are here for the annual music convention- they are all ages, all dress sense ( or no sense) sizes and shapes- They sit or stand out in the open - no matter the weather, they read books, dance, play games and generally relax and just enjoy themselves. Its let your hair down and have fun time.. For those who have never been - GO - even if your are grumpy you will enjoy it ( you are allowed to be grumpy as nobody even cares).

Those who want to know more and read some serious stuff about this annual convention have a look at the website.

Have fun and see you next year. Rich
