Photographer's Note
Pic. 128 contd. During the 17th century, the curative properties of the hot waters in Bath became known and the bath became a spa, which caused an incredible expansion of the city.
The Circus is an example of Classical Georgian architecture, built by the architect John Wood around 1760.
Georgian architecture is the name given to the buildings erected under the first four King George's of the House of Hanover (1714-1830).
J Wood took his inspiration from the Roman Colosseum. The Classical columns (Greek Doric. Roman/Composite and Corinthian) were used one above the other in the elegant curved facades facing each other in this complete circle.
3WS about the city of Bath which became part of the UNESCO World Heritage in 1987 for its rich heritage.

Ciao MarieLouise!
Saluti, Nino.

Hello Marie-Louise,
This edifice is very interesting on its unusual form and architectural style. It is perfectly captured and comprehensively described in the note. Very informative and nice picture, taken with very high quality!
Only thing that maybe needs some amendments is the geographical position of this place on the map. Now it points to Calais, France.
Best regards,
Sergiy

Hi MarieLouise,
A really fine architectural shot. Already from the bending building, the bending line of cars and the bending road you could imagine that this is a round building. I guess that from the ground or without a fisheye lens it is very difficult to give a totally accurate picture of what the place looks like, but often it is not necessary to include absloutley everything of a building or the like since the viewer of the picture fills in the rest. I actually could see what it looked like before I make a search in the internet and found that it looked exactly the way I imagined. TFS and have nice weekend!
Kind regards,
Ulf

Ciao Marie Louise,

Josep

Bonsoir Marie louise,
I viewed all the photos and read the info with much interest :) very good set of photos showing the place from a few angles!
IMHO, it's rather difficult to take photos of such large buildings - and especially of such a shape!
Concerning this particular photo which shows part of the building... very well chosen POV :) And it's nice to see it with the tree in the FG (which adds some depth)!
I am not sure about the lower part of the photo, though, - with the big empty space... maybe we could try cropping a bit of the bottom? I will add my version to the Workshop, if you do not mind? :)
Warmest greetings from rather frosty Moscow,
Elena

Bonsoir Marie-Louise,

Hello Marie Louise,
The point of view works well in showing this fine piece of architecture!
Composition wise the framing by the foliage is effective in directing attention and giving depth to the scene...
Sharp fine details and the colours are well reproduced!
Greetings,

Salut Marie Louise. It is a very beautiful architecture and you show it very well. The tree on the left frames it very nicely. Colors and sharpness are very good. Workshops are great too show the full and beautiful sight. Très bien. HAve a nice day.

Bonjour MarieLouise,
well collected the typical english architecture, the facades and the small iron-blaconies railings are very prominent on photo.
Good allocation of pic. space with the green lawn on FG.
Lovely and pleasent to watch.

Hi Marie Louise,
A welcome addition to TE, depicting a structure I have not seen (but hope to, some day).
Good light management and natural color. For my taste, there is too much grass in the foreground. I experimented by scrolling down until this side of the curb (left edge) is flush with the bottom of my screen. If one cropped right at that line, there would still be enough grass, the shade of the tree on the right would still be included. Just a suggestion for an alternate (not necessarily better) cropping that will satisfy the minimalists like myself.
Regards,
MT
