Photographer's Note
The most Westerly point on the Isle of Skye, giving excellent views over Moonen Bay to Waterstein Head and out over the Minch to the Western Isles.
The point is said to be the best place on Skye to see whales, dolphins and porpoises. The sea around the point is teeming with sea-birds including gannets, black guillemots, razorbills and shags. The lighthouse tower at it tip is 62 feet high and stands 142 feet above sea-level.

Wonderful depth of field, with the sharply defined lichens in the foregrounds all the way to the lighthouse in the background. The calm seas and delicate colors in the sky make for a calm and meditative scene. Thank you, Judy

Hello Stephen,
A view in wonderful colours and play of light. The lighthouse in the far despite its small size on the photo is a real eye catcher as it gives an idea of the wideness of the landscape.

Paul

Hi Stephen,
amazing light falling on those cliffs and the lighthouse. You've captured it perfectly, with a stony f/g, silky water and an incredible horizon! The red clouds add a special element.
I love it!
Take good care and have a good week!

Excellent photo. The light on the cliff face is fantastic. Well captured.
A superb composition. The rocks give plenty of interest to the foreground, and the outline of the hills across the Minch are a wonderful background.
