Photographer's Note

Maen Llia is a Bronze Age monolith situated on the windswept moorland of Fan Nedd is the Brecon Beacons National Park just north of the village of Ystradfellte. It is probably a place of worship or perhaps a boundary marker of some kind. The Roman road 'Sarn Helen' runs past the stone, out of camera to the left, and the stone bears some Latin writing scratched into it, proof that the Romans did visit the site.
