Photographer's Note
This is a picture of the Melrose Abbey. This is the holy ground where the heart of Robert The Bruce is burried.
As we were walking among the tombstones, some mist gave some kind of errie feel to that place. It felt magical some way.

Very good POV and composition for this well rendered b/w photo, Simon.
Well chosen and appropriate frame as well!

PS. ... but exposure of 30 secs without a tripod? And F-stop of 37.4?

Bien vue Simon!

Together with the tree, this is great shot of the abbey. I like the heavy B/W, which gives this picture a mystical mood, very nice done, Simon !

I see you reposted this picture... what did you change in it? I had already looked at the original posting!
Anyway, its a good pic and works well in the B&W format you chose!

Did you post this in black and white cos of the eerie feeling you felt??? Anyway I like the contrast in this and for some reason it looks better in black and white......

Salut Simon,
Une bien bonne image avec un suprbe maitrise de la lumiθre. J'aime le contraste entre l'arbre et la vieille pierre ainsi que les contrastes noir et blanc. Bonne nettetι ιgalement.

very nicely framed! it can be difficult photographing such a large building, knowing when i say it's okay to crop part of it out! you did a great job, though...i think it's a bit too sharp, in the worn brick area near the top...i'm not sure if that's post processing...

Excellent photograph of the Abbey. A bit more detail about Robert the Bruce would be appreciated, however.

GREAT SHOT BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE COLOUR VERSION FOR COMPARISON ONLY AS I CANT SEE IT BEING BETTER THAN B&W
GREAT DETAILS IN THE OLD RUINS
WELL DONE
