Photographer's Note
Simply a picture of a lonely house located along the A855 road between two small villages of Balgown and Totscore, on the Isle-of-Skye,
57.6163, -6.3714 on the map, down the road towards Uig.
(if you take the yellow man on the Google-Map to this precise location – you will see it for real).
Slow traffic at that point, allowed me taking this through the bus window. There are many such houses, mansions and farms built within fair distance from each, typically designed as we saw on this region.

Hello Ike,
This reminds me of the typical style of a doll's house, when I was a child, a symmetrical frontage and warm pebbledash surface. It looks so welcoming! Pity they didn't have a tea shop, too!
You have captured it sharply giving details which suggests it is situated in a shallow walled area.
The path is a good lead line and creates a fine sense of depth.

I like the soft diffused light and welcoming path to the steps leading into the dwelling. Good sharpness and you did well taking this through a bus window. I wonder what the moat around the house was for? Tfs!

The little house reminds me of something one might expect in an early 19th century novel by Charlotte Brontλ or Jane Austen. Frequently featuring contrasts — the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly, the rich and the poor. (This is the poor girl's home.) It is beautifully maintained.
