Hello travellers!
Panoramic shot taken in february this year from the top of highest mountain of UK- Ben Nevis.
Some time ago I've presented overall panoramic view on Ben from the bottom, now I want to show why it is worth to climb there.
View on the south side, with the Glen Nevis valley at the bottom, waterfall can be seen below. Several films have been shot in Glen Nevis, including some scenes from the Harry Potter movies, Braveheart and Rob Roy.
I have reached the mountain together with my father. We where lucky to have a nice, sunny day. When I was on the top for the first time, in summer 2007, I didn't see end of my nose;) I'm really happy that I had oportunity to see this beautifull view.
About the picture- original size 10 086 x 2 520 px, made from five single shots. Some post processing including levels operating, colour balance, resizing and sharpening. Hand held camera.
I hope You like this one.
Thanks a lot for watching!
cheers!

A stunning piece of work, Adrian. What a view! Schiehallion really does look isolated. It's wonderful to be able to follow the glen down to the Steall waterfall - the highest I've been in this area. Thanks,
Winifred
