Along the isolated road to Elgol on the Isle of Skye there are good views across Loch Slapin towards the rugged Cuillins Range. The main peak in this photo, Blΰ Bheinn, is just to this side of the main range but is high enough to be a Munro (Scottish peaks over 1000 feet) and at 929 metres is one of the higher peaks in Scotland. It is evidently a good challenge of a climb to the top.
In the WS is another photo looking across the loch.

the title which I would choose

a different world

Lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepa priroda, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima koji dolaze i najavljuju promenu vremena.

Hello Ian, When I see such a landscape, the words of Burns come to my mind: My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart's in the Highlands, a-chasing the deer;
Chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
My heart's in the Highlands, wherever I go.
I learnt it in school 60 years ago and I still remember. Wonderful picture

Hello Ian,
Beautiful views in both photos, more gently attractive in the sunny and green WS, more dramatically impressive in the main photo. This one is also nicely structured in horizontal areas. The mountains seem to have a blueish tone, and a quick googling seems to confirm that 'blΰ' is the old Norse word for blue. It's still 'blε' in all Scandinavian languages.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,
Beautiful landscape, again I like the combination of the higher mountains and the water aspect in the foreground.
The clouds again are nice addition as long as they don't hide the sunshine.
Very well done,
M

Hi Ian,
You have captured wll the ripples on the water. The point of view is showing the details of the mountains. There is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian,
Your series of Scotch landscapes is wonderful. This time those mountain peaks are bare rocks and also the lower look rather sparse on vegetation. I'm sure the climate is quite harsh in wintertime and often during summer too.

Hello Ian,
Beautiful desolate landscapes in the Scottish Highlands.
I have a slight preference for the composition of the photo in the WS where the lake is framed on the sides.
It also has a nice difference between sunlit parts and others in the shade.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ian,
This side of the Isle-of-Skye is less toured, allthough it is a wonderful and intriguing landscape for photographers.
Located along the B8083 road the Loch offers a great sights. Both the WS and main photos superbly shown.
Found the place at approx. 57.2264, -6.034 on the map.
Good afternoon,

Hello Ian.
Wonderful landscape of these high lands, steep rocky mountains, ideal view of the lake in the foreground, its shores practically without vegetation, tell us about the harsh climate.
Good perspective of the image, very pleasing to the eye.
Have a good weekend.
Warm greetings.
Luis.

Great rough Scottish landscape, Ian. It seems I'm not the only one in these travel restricted times who's going through the back catalogue. Well worth the post.
Cheers & take care

the shapes of the mountains are very beautiful, in the WS we can see those foreign pine trees that were implanted in the region.
take care
