Photographer's Note
The snow was holding off just before the sun (!) set allowing me to capture this image. I'm only a beginner, so I'd appreciate any commentary to help me improve my photography.

Welcome to TE! Very moody photo. You seem to have quite a lot of dark "stuff" in the foreground. I would crop some of this out as I find it a bit distracting. I would also try and sharpen the image a little. Good forst photo through.

It's really good to see a different view of the castle. Most are from either the car park or the road. Very atmospheric with the snow all around and the warm glow of the light from the castle. The small scale of the castle in the picture provides a real sense of solitude and isolation, although that is no longer actually the case with the main road to Skye running past the front door ;-)

Very dark and moody - as most photos of this castle usually are. The WS did a nice job showing the details. I like the unique point of view and the great empty spaces around.
The others on TE have posted Eilean Donan under "Elian Donan" which is in "Highland."
And you have inspired me to create a theme for this place. :o)
