Photographer's Note
There's been a Lighthouse at St. John's Point since 1844. The original Lighthouse was painted white. In 1902 the all white tower was changed by adding three black bands and then in 1954 it was changed again by replacing the two white bands with yellow bands. And that's how it has remained to the present day.

Hello Derek!
This is a very well composed photo with the breaking wave, the nicely painted lighthouse and these rocks covered with seaweed.A dynamic shot with the water and the nice sky.
I wonder about the exposure time of 30 sec.

Hi Derek,
This is a real action shot, with the wave seeming to splash right over the camera. Excellent depth of field and a pleasing composition with the lighthouse on the right and the splash of water on the left. A good moody sky adds to the effect.
