Photographer's Note
Derry-Londonderry had a very troubled history in recent times. Now the disorders seem far away, but wandering in working class neighbourhoods you can still feel the ideas of people living there.
This picture was taken in the nationalist Bogside, theater of many dramatic events in the Seventies, like the Bloody Sunday and the Battle of the Bogside.
In the foreground you can see one of the famous murals in the area, painted by the Bogside Artists.
