Photographer's Note

You could easily imagine this bower in heart of county Donegal, in middle of mountains, bogs and lakes ... But actually it is in the centre of second biggest city of Northern Ireland : (London)Derry. The bower is in a craft village in the area of the city surrounded by very well preserved walls, very famous in Ireland. This craft village is a square from the 18th and 19th centuries that has been reconstructed and opened in 1992 by Republic of Ireland president, Mary Robinson. It hosts a few craft shops, some restaurants and coffee shops, some flats and a genealogy centre with extensive record of passengers list from the 18th and 19th century emigration periods. They help some people from US or elsewhere to trace their ancestral roots in county Derry and Inishowen, co Donegal.
