As the faithful companion of two much-loved Suffolk doctors, Snooks the dog has enjoyed more fame than most pets – albeit posthumously.He has been immortalised in two statues, stolen amid scandal and then recovered mysteriously from an antiques fair.Now, in the latest twist, Snooks has become an unwitting fashion model for knitwear.The second statue of Snooks, located on Aldeburgh seafront near to the model yacht pond, has been dressed in matching hat, scarf and jacket – to keep him warm from the cold sea air.

Hello Iain,
How wonderful to see you back after such a long time! I do hope that you are well and that we shall be seeing some more of your photographs, especially if they are as appealing as this delightful one!
I must confess that I've never before heard of "Snooks" but I did, of course, have to "Google" him to find out about him and his owners, a couple of doctors.
You've captured him perfectly here, his dull bronze body resplendent with the brightly coloured scarf and an equally colourful "modesty" garment to clothe his nether regions. And he's beautifully portrayed against a nicely out of focus background.

P.S. The old Bluthner is in need of tuning again but, what with the dismal quality of my playing, I doubt if many would notice the difference.

Hello Iain,
Great to see you are psoting again on TE.
Wonderful picture for a dog-lovers, and the red wool scarf had added a nice warm tone toi the picture.
We saw in Edinburgh yet another faithfdul dog statue, a nice tribute to men best friend.
