Photographer's Note

Well this shot was from a walk through a local town to me, Saltburn... This shot was inspired by another photographer on here, Sayzey, he took an almost identical shot, but I thought it would look better more centralised, so I went armed with my camera, determined to make the central shot! you can see his shot here, Sayzey's Shot

I think the colours on marks shot are nicer, I think largely due to his new polorizer, getting a better light on the sea really helps the shot.

As you can see from the waves it was a really rough day, and there were many surfers out!

Right for those who dont know, these are victorian cliff lifts, a subject for marks pictures a few times, they use water displacement to go up and down the bank to provide access from the beach to the town.

I managed to catch the shot as the one on the left was going down, which meant the one on the right had to come up! Many people enjoy the ride each day, and as I remember, it isnt too expensive, and if you go to saltburn its something you have to do!

I hope you like the shot, I like how I caught the lifts in motion, and the ferousity of the sea!

I hope you like it, and as I say I have to give much credit to mark on this one, it was his idea and perspective that made me take this shot!

comments and critiques welcome, thanks for looking :)

***addition - for those of you who are wondering, I straightened the horizon, but that tilted the shoreline, but I know the shore is on its way in there, so this is more "realistic" from the straightness POV, thanks for your visit***
