This photo is of the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum situated in Stwarts Park Marton Middlesbrough, it was late evening and the the low setting sun brought out the colours well which court my eye, hope you like.

Oh! well done Irene. I have a Captain Cook theme and I've been meaning to get over to the museum for some shots to add to the theme. Actually I did go one morning and saw the light was wrong then. The evening sun is casting a pleasant glow on the bricks. Well spotted.
I'll put it in the theme.

Hi Irene: I meant to tag this the other day, since it somewhat ties in with my visit to one of Cook's discoveries. Good seeing this piece of history. By the way, the totem on the right is from Canada's Pacific Northwest (or else Washington State), I would imagine. Haida or Tlingit Indians.

Nice to hear from you. I didn't realise captain Cook was from this part of the world. Great shot capturing the soft evening light and I like the pov. The totem pole is a nice catch and detail. I almost didn't notice it. Great shot.
