Photographer's Note
Liverpool's Catholic Cathedral again. The room with the red stained glass window is the Chapel of Reconciliation, the doors on either side are confessional booths. In the foreground, the blue-lit marble ambo, from which the Scriptures are proclaimed. Following an ancient tradition of eagle-lecterns, adapted to local circumstance, the bookrest is formed by two sea-eagles of cast and silvered bronze sculpted by local Liverpool artist Sean Rice (1932-1997).

Andy, I clicked on Random Orhan Photo in my scorebox, and got this one. I think I know why it's an orphan (no points yet). It has difficulty telling its own story without your notes. And the colours are very strong, maybe a tinge too strong. The marble ambo is beautiful and should have been the center of the image. But it is a place I would like to visit one day.

Great composition, Andy. Brilliant colours and lighting. I like the way you framed it from behind the pulpit. Thank you for sharing it. Good note.
