Photographer's Note
A couple of weeks ago I had a father and son weekend visiting some friends living in Basildon, Essex. The very last day we visited the London Zoo in Regent park. A lot of the animal was still indoor due to winter season. This pigeon was however not one of the animals helding by the zoo... Todays question... what was the main attraction in this building? If you travell with kids and are tired of the shops in London ...take a day of and visit the Zoo you never knows what animals you will se ;).
From Wikipedia;
ZSL London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo. It was opened in London on April 27, 1828, and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study. It was eventually made open to the public in 1847. Today it houses a collection of 704 species of animals, with 16,802 individuals, making it one of the largest collections in the United Kingdom.
It is managed under the aegis of the Zoological Society of London (established in 1826), and is situated at the northern edge of Regent's Park (the Regent's Canal runs through it). The Society also has a more spacious site at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire to which the larger animals such as elephants and rhinos have been moved. As well as being the first scientific zoo, ZSL London Zoo also opened the first Reptile house (1849), first public Aquarium (1853), first insect house (1881) and the first children's zoo (1938).

Hej Stefan,
This pidgeon certainly looks free but did it really have such red feet? Anyway, a very fine observation, the girafe makes a very fine background.

Hi dear Stefan,
I always feel sorry for any animals in a zoo, even a nice one...
but I like the way you have composed this. The pigeon in front of the giraffe, makes for a painting like pattern visually very nice. Maybe its feet are a tiny bit saturated, but that's a detail.
TFS, Kind regards

Hi Stefan,
original idea, great eye and moment capture, I just wonder how it could be with a higher DOF.
TFS and good luck for your italian travel, when it will be!

Hi Stifan, i love the purity in your all photos, but the background of this one caught my eyes, even the giraffe is the rare one here but you've decided to take the photo of the typical pigeon. very good contrast and color balance, good job :)
Sam.
