Photographer's Note
This woman was one of the strongest dancers from last year's carnival - her group made me run every time things got too close - photography to bump and grind is a bit of a leap when it hits you spontaneously - I've been caught in the very public spectacle of bump and grind before - but not with hands full of camera - but then again think of the potential extreme close ups - or perhaps not - anyway this woman was non-stop - just amazing - an amazing character - this group of women together carried the spirit and energy of the event for me.

Oh that's a deep portrait, Kev, deep values on that face, like a great jazz concert photo... My favorite of the series.

This is ONE STUNNING SHOT, dear Kev, you captured her in her exalted, elated self as she no doubt was dancing nonstop... her face reveals a complete oneness with her craft, with the music, with the movements... with her wonderfully sculpted body as well. Her face, to me, is magical: almost not of this world, perhaps because her beautiful almond eyes do not show in the dark, perhaps because she is at the height of a dancing extasy.

Hi kev. Carnival shots are great, and this is exactly way... in a well taken photo, the energy of the moment is sealed and locked and all can see it, the woman seems like a dynamo here. great work.

hhe, that one kept me speachless for quite long, kev!
there is something provocative in this photo, something which makes me uneasy, something which places me on he line between the words (and worlds) "disgusting" and "tremendous";
this is not an easy picture to accept into a category "a nice one", but it definitely falls into the category "terrific";

Very good close-up for this "tired to death" lady. Very strange looking grimace on her face. I don't even know is she happy or not. But for the one I'm sure, very interesting picture to stop and think about it. Thanks. maki

Un cadrage serrι parfait, du rose et du bleu qui apportent de la couleur ΰ cet image en tons de bruns.
Jolie attitude sur le visage, par contre j'aurais bien aimι voir un peu plus les yeux ici.
Le visage est assez sombre mais tout de mκme lumineux...bizarre et j'aime.
