Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

Last century, Colne, in Lancashire, was an important place for the manufacture of cotton cloth. There were many mills in the town and most people were employed in them.

Now, there are very few. Most have been demolished and the land redeveloped. Greenfield Mill, this fine example of a cotton mill, no longer produces cotton cloth, it makes bespoke furniture, but it is pleasing to see that it still stands proudly as a memorial to the town's important industrial heritage.

Many thanks for stopping by, Bev :-)
