Westbury Court Garden is in Gloucestershire. It is the only surviving 17th century Dutch water garden in the UK. It was created between 1696 and 1705 at a time when formal gardens were the fashion. Over the years it grew in disrepair with buildings crumbling and the canals silting up. In 1960 there was a plan to build housing on the site. In 1967 The National Trust purchased the land and set about its restoration using detailed archive materials. A small garden but it features canals, fountains a Dutch pavillion and many flower beds.
