Photographer's Note
No home can get more cozy than this thatchet English cottage. Whilst taking this photo I sort of was expecting a Hobit to step out!

Hello Aleks
I just love the architecture of this quaint English cottage with its thatched roof and cobble stone construction surrounded by superb cottage garden. Good POV, contrast, sharpness and nicely framed. Well done TFS

Nice to see the sort of architecture which was designed to suit the human and a rich tapestry of foliage and flowers. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Aleks!
Some years ago I tried to build a puzzle of 1500 pieces with a house just like this one, but full of flowers in front of it. I loved it, exactly as I love your post. The colors are a bit washed out but probably because of the lighting conditions.

Hello Aleks,
It's fantastic that houses like this still exist. Apart from possibly the windows it seems as if this hasn't changed since the days of Shakespeare. A well composed and cropped photo with excellent colours.
All the best,
Gert

Hi Aleks,
you are perfectly right in your note. I love your close up very much, it gives a lot of detail and hides the dull weather well, I do not think the colours are washed out at all - they gives some softness that suits the picture.
Best regards

Hello Aleks, This is really a lovely old cottage and looks as English as I can remember from the few visits I had to the British countryside. This front of the house is so busy with color and a variety of flowers. It could be a scene from a movie. Ialso liked the thatched roof with a few vines present there and who could miss the stone work in the small wall or planter in the front. Just an overall pretty picture. Very well done. Regards, Roger

Hello Aleks,
I like this timeless scene, somewhat more colorful than one of my http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Oxfordshire//photo469258.htm from the distant past. I was impressed by the explanation you wrote on how to select a good watermelon (for Kladio Dadic's photo).
Warm regards,
Bulent
