Photographer's Note
On our recent visit to the Cotswolds we visited Lower Slaughter, I posted a picture of the mill and it is this which the gentleman is trying to reproduce. Not sure what method he was using. Uncertain if it good manners or not to approach such people!I think his being there just shows what a picturesque place it is.

Hello David,
You told us what he is trying to capture in his sketch, and we have seen the mill, but without that knowledge I would have been very curious to know what caught his attention. By sitting there, busy at work, he injects a kind of suspense in the photo. It is a nice view as it is, but his presence makes it a lot more interesting. The enlarged photo looks considerably sharper than this small version.

Hello David, the presence of an artist always seems to add to a composition, and although his subject is behind you, this is still an interesting picture.
I like the reflections of the water plants, a nice detail.

Well said ....what a picturesque place it is !!!
Certainly the the beauty of this place 'Capturing everybody Hearts' with the tranquility of the river Eye.
I'm for certain this man is 'sketching' the mill and pretty cottages along the river. He seems to be a very skillful artist.
Beautifully taken picture with the soft reflection f/g.
Brought back good memory , it seems like yesterday.
