Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
I will explain the strange title!
This small river is called the river Eye, so I couldn't resist the link to seeing it with our own eyes!
The village is built on both banks of the River Eye, a slow-moving stream crossed by two footbridges.
The name of the village is Lower Slaughter. The name stems from the Old English name for a wet land 'slough' or 'slothre' (Old English for muddy place) upon which it lies. It is known for its unspoilt limestone cottages in the traditional Cotswold style.
Thank you for your interest,
Bev :-)

Hello Beverley,
An eye of the Slaughter... what a connotation, even harsh as translated this into Hebrew.
Nonetheless, it looks a nice regulated creek, menmade canal, with charming surrounding and a trail to take an easy stride.
Wonderful light that brought ouit multi-green scenery.
Have a nice new day,
Ike

Hello Bev,
The several green tones of the different kinds of trees make the greatest immediate impression on me. I also note that they are perfectly reflected in the Eye. These impressions are obviously due to the beautiful bright light. As usual the photo is well composed and nicely cropped.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Beverley,
What an odd name for a river! But that's not your fault. And I looked everywhere for a Ferris Wheel too, thinking initially of the London Eye. Of course I did not find any, but did spot some lovely reflections in the river, excellent linear perspective from the promenade at right, and impeccable sharpness and colour. Tfs!

Hi Bev
A perfect English village. I like the reflections of sky and trees in the river.
We are taking a holiday soon in the Cotswolds near Lower Slaughter. I will look out for this view.

Hi Bev,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the trees and of the houses. The quality of the light beautifies the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Beverley,
The Eye proves to be a great mirror for the tall trees along the shoreline. The reflections in the calm water look great, especially in this nice and bright sunlight. Very well captured from a good angle.

Hi Bev,
even though I am not a native speaker I do enjoy the pay of words and I try to use the language in a funny way as much as I can here. A good title may attract the attention not less than bright colors of the photo.
I wonder sometimes whether many people may miss what I mean. Even worse: recently for example I started my photo note writing that my previous photo was from a castle and present photo shows the town hall but several people commented: what a nice castle... Anyway, I suppose we are here mainly for the photos, not everybody must read notes.
Very picturesque scene with the eye-catching Eye :)

I am trying to work out whether the image is benefitted or not by the inclusion of the handrail in the foreground but can't decide. The depth, colours and sharpness of this pretty village - all spot on.

Hi Bev.
Sensational composition with the river that guides the view towards the traditional houses and the large and varied trees, which give beautiful reflections to the calm waters of the river, the place seems very quiet and that path next to the river invites an interesting walk.
Wonderful colors, soft tones, excellent sharpness and splendid light.
Very well done. I like very much.
Have a nice day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Beverly,
Aye, I see the Eye! It is a very pretty place and it looks like the river (or the stream) has been manicured.
Regards,
MT
