Photographer's Note
Good morning Everyone,
A gremlin is a mythical creature reputed to be mischievously inclined to damage or dismantle machinery, or any mysterious, unknown source of trouble or mischief.
When I saw this statue, sitting on a garden wall, I was immediately reminded of a gremlin.
I wonder if he averts mischief from this house or whether he causes it!
He certainly attracted my attention when we were there but I am pleased to say, we had a very happy day throughout so any mischief hadn't been directed towards us.
I hope you have a mischief-free day, Bev :-)

Hello Beverley
The Gremlin looks like it has an oh no I have been found out expression! Or hmmm, what mischief can I get up to next? Good sharpness textures and punchy light contrasts.

Ha ha... Beverley,
Maybe the Gremlin was blamed for the industrial crisis in the whole of the UK...
Surely it was mounted in later era than the factory and high chimney was operative.
Nicely spotted and gave a combined sight upon.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Bev,
Long time ago the people were still much obedient and believed in many myths.
Today we live in a totally other world.
You create wonderful depth and perspective.
Lovely composition and perfect presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Lovely regards, out Flanders,
John.

Hello Bev,
I can say for sure that the gremlin didn't tamper with your camera. There are no problems with exposure or sharpness that could have been explained by any kind of mischief. It's an amusing photo, but personally I wouldn't like to have a gremlin sitting on my garden wall (if I had a garden, which fortunately I don't have), just as I wouldn't want a gnome standing inside my garden.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Beverley
A most appropriate title since the gremlin indeed seems to be planning its new mischief. The sculpture is in fact full of expression which you captured effectively with excellent exposure and sharp details.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.

Hi Bev
Looks like someone is up to no good haha
we all know that look don't we :)
what first drew my attention to the scene was the steep declining roofline and the tall vertical chimney stack. I like that setup of converging perspective points, its eye catching.
of course the gremlin is the icing on the cake, he's been bad or is about to be bad. excellent roughness with all this stone. cheers

Dear Beverley,
I had a mischief-free day, I hope it will last in the remaining 1,5 hours. :) Joking apart, again, you presented a nice postcard from this interesting building.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Beverley,
A great photo of this gremlin, who has got a pretty mischievous look on his face. The stone wall, house faηade and chimney are wonderful surroundings, especially in this bright sunlight. Very well done.

Hi Bev
"I didn't do it" he says with an innocent look.
A good one, well composed and great detail especially in the large version.
cheers

Hi Bev,
it looks rather charming.
I remember an old movie titled "gremlins" or something like that... They were also cute little extraterrestrial creatures which caused a lot of trouble.
Well captured here with the building and chimney adding some geometry.
Great weather day: even grey color looks attractive in such intense sunlight.
Excellent work,
M

bev
curious this sculpture, here we would say it would be a chupa-cabras ( a kind of alien beast who eats animals at night). nice perspective matching well the sculpture and the buildings ahead.
take care
jorge
