Photographer's Note
At last a February sunny day in Brighton, England. Brighton Pavilion sits in all of its Regency splendour, just back from the main road into the city of Brighton and has been linked to this fashionable town on the English south coast for 200 years. A modest villa until 1815 when King George IV (The Prince Regent) asked John Nash to transform it into the magnificent oriental palace that exists today. It was finally completed in 1823. Alas due to the King’s ill-health he only made two visits to the completed palace in 1824 and 1827 sadly he died in 1830.

Your composition is great including the reflecting pool and shadows in the foreground. The fence divides the scene nicely. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has fine sharpness.

Hello Brian,
You left the beautiful islands of Greece but the quality of your pictures is still very good. One more time, the light and colors are great.
The reflection is beautiful and I like the shadows of the foreground.

Hi Brian,
First thing that caught my eyes was the fence. It looks like green due to the grass behind it. Lovely reflection in the pool.Nicely framed.

Hello Brian,
This is a beautifully crafted composition featuring the elegant oriental domes of the Pavilion and taking in the wonderful reflections and the enticing shadow play in the foreground. The polarised blue sky makes the perfect backdrop. Light, colours and sharpness are all excellent features here.

Hi Brian
what a magnificent palace.
and yes, you had a brilliant Feb day to shoot this.
so many geometric elements in play, with the angled shadows in the foreground, the rounded pool, the russian style domes, and then the water reflections.
not sure what else you could ask for here.
oh yeah, warm lighting too!

Hi Brian,
Great capture of this wonderfully excentric landmark. The reflections are great (deep dark blue) - but I think the diagonals of the shadow of the fence are TEH outstanding feature in the composition here.
Cheers.

Hi Brian,
this is truly a professional presentation of this famous place. The composition is very original with the strong diagonal shadow in the FG. I like very much the well saturated colors which together with the oriental architecture give it a feeling of an exotic country. The reflection makes the composition even more interesting.
Excellent work!

HI Brian
At first glance I thought this was India! What an exotic building. The wide-angle lens has had an extraordinary effect on the image, giving it a fantastic perspective. The colours are lovely and rich, there is a fantastic play of light and shade and the image is razor sharp. Fantastic job. TFS and I wish you a beautiful day.

Hello Brian!
Wish to get old for me to Brighton. I've been in London (several times), Oxford, Hampton Court, Windsor. I want to go to something else Canterbury, Baath, Brighton, and such. Do not know if this will succeed. This is a beautiful image, nicely framed shadow on the left grid. The lights and the colors are bright and saturated. Very nice work.

such a wonderful composition. The richness of the colours and the excitement of seeing the detailed buildings and graphical elements. Hi Brian,
I like this one much more than the most recent one you just posted of this same place, not only the reflection in the water that give another dimension to the composition the shadow play on the foreground adds strong graphic and give strong light and contrast, and the vertical format really enhances and eccentuate the sense of depth to the landscape and scenery.
Strong colors, good contast, perfect sharpness and clarity. My complements.

Well is there any need to say more? I think the image is well crafted and praise you got for it more than deserved. I would have been put of by the fence, but you got there at the right time and made use of the shadows and reflections. My only niggle is that the verticals are distorted, that can be easily fixed.
