Photographer's Note
It was 3.30am on Monday 26th November 2008, the phone is ringing, the voice on the other end say's "you have just become grandparents to a lovely baby girl". Fast forward to my drive to work when I saw this lovely sunrise which was welcoming my gorgeous grandaughter into the world. I stopped, took the shot and gave up a little prayer for her safe arrival.

Hello, Denise.
Very very nice indeed!
Fabulous colours in that early-morning sky and very well composed with that wonderful silhouetted tree nicely balancing the rising sun on the other side. Again, a very difficult one to expose, being taken right into the sunlight, but you have still managed to retain pretty good detail even in the darkest bits and the sky isn't over-exposed at all.
Excellent! Oops, sorry, I meant, "Well done, Granny!".

Congratulations! I really thought the note with the picture was lovely, everyone has had their first sunrise, but for someone to see it as a gift to you, thats beautiful :)
