Photographer's Note
The title of this artwork is actually 'Large Green Cheese Leaf', a representation of a leaf from a Swiss Cheese plant I presume.
The work of David Gisby.
David studied fine art at Ashford School of Art and Design after which he spent 7 years as a stained glass conservator, rebuilding stained glass panels from across the South East of England.
He is a qualified welder specialising in multiple materials.
He uses these skills to create metal and glass sculptural pieces, that allow leaded glass to be enjoyed without the necessity and limitations to a traditional window.
He utilises a mix of new and reclaimed metal and glass to create works that respond to and celebrate the beauty of the materials."

Two more shots in the workshop.
Thanks as always for looking.

Hi Jean,
Beautiful closeup of this bright green artwork. I really like the shape. And fresh green lawn of spring is a perfect background.

Hello Jean,
This is a work of art that I understand better step by step, from the puzzling but interesting thumbnail, to the enlarged version and then to WS #1 that explains everything. The environment is essential for the impression the sculpture makes by filtering the various green tones through the different segments of the leaf. It would look quite different in a regular gallery. You certainly picked the right close version for the main photo.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Jean,
It is quite interesting when you think about it. On one hand the nature has inspired people a lot, including the technologies they developed. On another hand it seems quite ironic that in spite of enjoying the beauty of the nature we are somehow excited to admire the art installations which artificially imitate the nature with not entirely natural means and designs. There is a contradiction in it.
The nature is certainly the best artist :)
Great reportage though of course,

Hello Jean
Indeed, there is a superficial resemblance to a Monstera deliciosa plant which grows well in subtropical Brisbane. A good tight closeup of the artwork with splendid sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Jean,
A great close-up photo of this work of art. Its different shades of green are all really appealing and the combination with the lighter green tones of the grass is wonderful as well. Very well done.

Hello Jean,
I like the photo in WS2 because of the composition that also shows the shadow of the artwork in its entirety.
In the other two photos you have approached the work in your own artistic way and shown it in remarkable versions.
I must have missed something somewhere. What's a Swiss Cheese plant???
Best regards, Paul

Hello Jean,
This is a nice combination of glass greenery and real greenery. :-) I like how that tree on top fits perfectly inside that one shape, and the different textures of the glass are nice up close. Take care!

Wonderful composition in many green tones, close up picture superbly rendred.
