Photographer's Note
It's May, and time once again for the annual art exhibition at Delamore.
Delamore is a beautiful place to visit at this time of year, the rhododendrons, azaleas and many more spring flowers are showing off their dazzling colours.
As usual I will be sharing some shots of the works of art; so much talent, imagination and skill on show.
I don't want to bore you, but I always look forward to May and the exhibition.
Two shots today of work by Dawn Brookes-Ensor.

Feathers created from reclaimed copper and wire.
Mounted on the trunks of trees; the sunlight highlighting the shiny copper wire.
Taken with my iPhone as the battery of my camera had run out!
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
A great photo of this work of art against the textures of the tree. The copper colours of the feather stand out so well, especially in this bright sunlight from the left. Well captured.

Hello Jean,
This kind of photos will never bore me. It's a smart sculpture/installation and part of its beauty comes from the environment. Watching art in nature has a very special appeal, and this piece really belongs in a place like this. The green background complements the shining copper wires perfectly.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
Definitely original artwork. Still, I find it a bit of a strange combination of the metal and the natural environment, although copper is naturally found in nature.
Beautiful is the nice warm glow it has on your photos.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Jean, really a very original work, used by recycling the copper wires, which lately also cost a lot .. hehehe ... an example of what you can find in this exhibition among the flower gardens, beautiful also the WS with the 3 feathers. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Jean
leave it to you to show us some of the more unusual subjects of the world :) No postcard shots from you haha. if you remove the very end portion of this artwork, you could easily think its some sort of large ugly insect crawling down the tree...or UP the tree haha. fine textural type of shot. cheers

Hi Jean
This is quite a dramatic image.
The sculpture echoing perfectly the bark of the tree.

Hi Jean,
Quite an extraordinary work of art indeed. The one from a further distance in the workshop is even more convincing that it is real. I suppose the artist should take a job as a decorator for the Hollywood movie sets. Like a Jurassic Park. Although I suppose these days they do everything with computers.
Great reportage,

Hi Jean,
The shape of the feather is quite realistic. And copper wire as a material extraordinary. Placement of this sculpture on this big tree trunk is perfect.

jean
a curious use of the copper wires. I did some sculptures with them some years ago. I guess here the artist used something to prevent the copper being green after some time. nice image of the artwork.
take care

Hello Jean,
Nice view, it looks likle a real autumn leaf on the trunk. And some blurred blubells as a bonus.
Best regards MAlgo
