Photographer's Note

It is hard to understand that the sea, source of so much life and beauty, can become such a powerful, devastating force.
I have never been to the countries that suffered from the tsunami, and couldn't really find an adequate picture to contribute to the Tsunami Memorial, nor can I find the right words to express my feelings of great sadness, horror, and helplessness to give help, confort and hope. But the feelings are here. We have all been hurt.

[This picture has been taken in Fowey, Cornwall, located on the mouth of the river of the same name. The sea looked like mercury, the scene was timeless. It was so peaceful... The storm was coming].
