Photographer's Note
I noticed this original bike parking near Ratusha (Town Hall) of Lviv. I liked it.
The Good Soldier vejk (also spelled Schweik, Shveyk or Schwejk) is the abbreviated title of an unfinished satirical dark comedy novel by Jaroslav Haek. The original Czech title of the work is Osudy dobrιho vojαka vejka za světovι vαlky, literally The Fateful Adventures of the Good Soldier vejk During the World War.
vejk has become a byword in the Czech Republic. The book is also the most translated novel of Czech literature: it has been translated into over 50 languages. The novel as a whole was originally illustrated (after Haek's death) by Josef Lada. (Wiki).
Near it, stood the splendid white car that aroused the interest of many people - see the Workshop.

Hello Malgo,
A very nice capture of this bike parking with this wonderful work of art. The man is looking and waving at us so nicely. The left hand side adds a nice perspective down the arches, the right hand side includes a nice bit of the town, including the classic car.

Hello Malgo,
I can understand why the car attracts people watching it, but to me the sculpture of vejk is much more interesting. It's a smart and beautiful kind of street art, so I hope it will not be damaged or taken away. Whoever made it is certainly a true artist.

Hello Malgo,
Indeed, the car has a lot of admirers but I rather like this piece of street art, part metalwork, part design. Very well captured from this angle with the arcade on the left serving to give the composition depth and perspective. Very good technical quality. As I said we did not have much time in Avila and my wife is still recovering from a knee replacement operation. So, we did not walk along the walls and indeed I see on our return courtesy of Wikipedia there were many monuments that we did not get to see. Such is life.

funny how you put the car in the WS photo because when i viewed this main one i was thinking how i want to see more of that car!!! I have no idea what kind of car that is, but its waaaaaaay more modern than the bike in your photo hahahaha.
