Photographer's Note
Just for fun, and as I’m a bit tired this evening, here’s a fun shot I took yesterday evening in rather dull and damp conditions. The weather did not however dampen my spirits, nor indeed the spirits of these determined looking musicians! This was the first time I had heard the Alphorn at such close quarters and the softness of the sound was beautifully soothing.
After enjoying the performance we went inside in the warm and dry to enjoy some more Swiss specialities – fondue accompanied by yodelling singers.

Hah...
Great shot Susanna. The depth is, well, really deep, considering your POV and those long pipes their smoking!!! Colors and the "straight on" composition are excellent. A real good looking fun shot.

This is so amazing, how beautiful instruments, they really make one smile. I'm very intrigued by the surrounding, two musicians playing on some weird huge instruments, dressed strange right next to a fence on a green grass which perfectly contrasts the red blouses, and all of this is happening on the mountain!!! The whole composition is really precious with beautiful vivid colors although there was no sun.

Susanna,
I'm glad to see you've selected "humerous" as one of the categories. There is something very funny about this, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is! Something perhaps in the peculiarity of the instrument in such a landscape. One would think, maybe, that the Swiss would devise a very small instrument that was easy to transport through the mountains!
Anyway - nicely (humourously) composed with usual excellent quality.

bien vu le POV pour donner de la perspective ΰ la photo et de ce fait allonger les pipes.

I bet the sound of music is loud from that viewpoint! Strong sense of persective, nice background. What is she holding? Notes, mirror, palmtop or a phone?

Eh ben tu as quand meme trouve qqch a photographier la haut, tres couleur locale en plus, un bon angle pour nous placer au plus pres de l'action (heureusement que la photo ne transmet pas le son !) et des vetements rouges qui ressortent tres bien de la dominante sombre. Titre alternatif. "Thank you for the music" (Abba, oui je sais c'est vieux, t'etais peut etre pas encore nee.... ;-) )

original ces instruments de musique, j'en ai jamais vu en vrai pour voir leur grandeur, joli cadrage , le rouge redonne de la couleur a l'image
