Photographer's Note
Oeschinensee may be the most beautiful Alpine lake I have seen. I took this shot with a panorama function of my phone camera. This makes the lake look bigger than it actually is. At an elevation of 1,578 metres it has a surface area of just over one square km.
The lake is part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hello Kari,
It surely is a very beautiful lake. The colour of the water and the reflected mountains and clouds makes this to a magnificent sight.
Excellently presented with the vegetation and trees on the foreground and with the high mountains with their snowcapped peaks.
Very attractive composition and good depth.

Hello Kari,
What a beautiful and idyllic view of this mountain lake surrounded by several peaks. The backlight was fierce, but you handled it really well and got a clear picture.

just goes to show that you can still get a great photo even when you shoot directly towards a hot sun. It creates a flare and its quite nice actually. nice fg and bg separation and the clarity is excellent. cheers

hello, Kari, When we think about Switzerland similar image comes to mind - the lake surrounded by the mountains. It looks really wonderful. Great colours, the mountains are still capped with snow. beautiful composition.It reminds me small Alpine lakes in northern Italy.
