Photographer's Note
On this rainy Sunday I wanted to post something sunny and thought about this photo on the western coast of Φland, a Swedish island in the Baltic sea.
There is no real difference in waterlevels due to tide effects in the Baltic sea. This is because not enough water flows in through the Oresund and Store Baelt (in Denmark) at high tide and out at low to cause a tidal effect on the eastern side of Sweden. In the same way the Baltic sea is getting breckish because the influx of water from the rivers is larger then the influx of salt water through the Oresund and Store Baelt.

Hi Harko, this is a striking image. The simplicity of the scene makes it stand out more strongly, and I like the composition with the lone tree placed slightly off-centre. Congratulations on seeing the photographic potential of this scene. Regards,

Hello Harko,
The tree looks like totally misplaced there, and it is hard to understand how it could have survived the harsh weather conditions during winter time...
Wonderful composition, good diagonal and well balanced!

Hello Harko,
Minimal composition for a very graphical effect. The succession of these four bands each of them with different material and color is very good. The tree finishes to compose this beautiful landscape.
Very weel seen and done !
Best regards, Christian
