Hi Gunnar,
This is a very interesting photo for me as a person that lives in a mild climate.The orange jacket against the black and white is eye-catching. WE are led into the image by the path and the person in the jacket carrying their groceries. I can't comprehend what it means to live and work in a climate where the changes in seasons are so dramatic. The small group of people on the left of the image add an element of mystique. They seem to be performing some activity where they are focused on something on the ground. In all a very good image that has been well planned.

Hi Gunnar, Winter again, for me nothing to be happy about. If there were no this man in orange jacket, the photo would be black and white. Great depth and nicely shown the leafless branches of the trees. Brrr, it looks cold.
We have a bit of snow and greay, I do not like this time of the year.

It is nice to see a real winter scene. Here, in Ukraine, we have not seen snow in this winter yet. The orange blazer adds more colorfulness in this mainly black-and-white view. A highly interesting composition, well reproduced winter atmosphere and absolutely perfect quality!

Hello Gunnar - You took this shot on my birthday where, here in Namibia, it was blazing hot. I would love to experience a European winter again. Nostalgic and romantic maybe but just look at the beauty of this stark scene. An almost monochromatic landscape where the orange-jacketed figure pulls one's eyes into the frame. A picture with a lot of atmosphere showing well the freezing cold. Nice to have this orange coat as contrast to the surroundings. Very nice too to see the frozen river too. Yesterday I went out to take some shots in the same spirit.

Hello Gunnar,

A very nice winter image with the woman as contrast against the white snow.
Also in Belgium get we the first snow and frost, but as in your country of course.
Nice depth and perspective.

Hello Gunnar,
a beautiful, almost monochrome picture in which composition and atmosphere are combined so well. I love the presence of the figure at that spot of the composition. They bring in a lovely and eye catching contrasting colour and an elegant sense of movement that doesn't disturb the harmony of the scenery and the peacefulness of the atmosphere. I love the depth, the apt lighting, the curves of path and moat as well as the way the naked branches open up and fill the frame. Congratulations and thank you!

Om det inte vore för den orangea jackan skulle man lätt kunna luras at tro att det är ett fotografi i svart/vitt. Ja vinternahar verkligen fått fäste på gott och ont. Om man som jag tränar för klassikern är det finemang att det snöar rejält.

this is a good composition. The walker in the bright coloured jacket is perfectly placed. The colour a nice contrst to the mono of trees and snow.Very well exposed with no OE -always tricky to achieve.

wow! Interesting frame here. Love the snow covered area, like the leafless trees, like your composition in square format. Interesting framing and with fine light. The red dress at middle is really eye catching and contrasting. Great shot. Tfs.
