Photographer's Note

Zamora, the land of Romanesque and Romancero, is a Spanish city, the capital of the province of Zamora, located in the northwest, near the border with Portugal. It belongs to the current Autonomous Region of Castilla y Leon, and is traversed by the Douro River from east to west.

It is important to its large and excellent Romanesque art. Stresses especially its splendid cathedral, which was built between the years 1151 and 1174, with its distinctive dome base of Byzantine influence.
The celebration of Easter in Zamora was declared International Tourist Interest.

It has been proposed to candidadata Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO, together with Braganηa.
