Photographer's Note
Monastery placed in Guadalupe's locality, in the province of Cαceres, Spain. Declared by the UNESCO Patrimony of the Humanity in 1993. Miscellany of Gothic styles, Mudejar, Renaissance, baroque and neoclassic, of the XIIIth to XVIIIth centuries.
The construction of the monastery on the part of the jerσnimos will extend from the XIVth century until the XVIIIth across successive enlargement, which has provided him with an irregular tracing with aspect of fortitude. In his construction the masonry and the brick was used preferably.
He emphasizes his Mudejar Cloister or of the Miracles, constructed between 1389 and 1405, concerning which the bedrooms and the dining hall are located. It has rectangular form with pointed arches of horseshoe or tϊmidos of props squared in edges in chamfer.
In the same Mudejar cloister one finds the Museum of Miniados, considered between the best of the world, where books are exhibited miniados of big dimensions of the XIVth to XVIIIth centuries provenientes of the scriptorium of the monastery. He emphasizes between them the Book of the Hours of the Prior, of the XVIth century.
The dressing room of the virgin, of baroque style, contains paintings of Luca Giordano. But there stands out the set of paintings of Zurbarαn, only one of all his career that survives at present in his original emplacement, the Vestry and an attached room.

Este ι um Mosteiro que eu tenho curiosidade em conhecer. Sabes que a ermida de Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, em Serpa, que eu mostrei aqui ι dedicada ΰ mesma Nossa Senhora? De alguma forma o culto eio para Portugal.Gosto do pov mostrando a fachada bem decorada e do cιu carregado. Atι as bandeiras no topo ficaram bem.
